To ensure the effective functioning of the ID-Art Application and the services provided through the Application, we rely on the use of cookies and similar technologies, such as pixels and tags (collectively referred to as “cookies”).
What is the scope of this Cookie Policy?
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, what types of cookies are used for the ID Art Application and for what purposes.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your device, for example your laptop or mobile, when you visit a website or use an application. This file can uniquely identify your browser or device and can send back information on your preferences and actions.
This information is most often used to provide you with a user-friendly browsing experience, for instance by remembering your language preference. Cookies can, however, be used for a range of different purposes, such as to gather statistics on the use of a website or application, to aid in site security, or to correctly display information.
First-party cookies are cookies set by the website that you are visiting. Only that website can read them. In addition, a website might potentially use external services, which also set their own cookies, known as third-party cookies.
Persistent cookies are cookies saved on your computer or mobile device that are not deleted automatically when you close your browser, unlike a session cookie, which is deleted when you close your browser.
What type of cookies do we use?
The ID-Art Application uses first-party cookies to collect information for performance and analytical purposes.
These cookies are provided by Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics (owned by Google). Information about your use of the Application is thus shared with Google to provide us with analytics and crash reporting.
Google Analytics may collect data related to the device and/or browser, IP address, unique identifiers, and on-site or application activities to measure and report statistics about user interactions on the websites and applications that use Google Analytics. Firebase Crashlytics may further collect data related to crash traces to provide crash reporting.
To better understand how Google processes such data and how you can control the collection of data by Google, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the information provided on their website and with their privacy policy.
How long are cookies stored?
Cookies may be stored for different periods, depending on the type of cookie:
- Session cookies expire after a short time or when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device for a predefined period of time, after which they expire.
What happens when you click on a link to a third-party website or application?
When you click on a link or button that redirects you to a third-party website or application, INTERPOL is not responsible for the use of cookies on that website or application.
Consequently, our Cookie Policy no longer applies and we would advise you to familiarize yourself with the cookie policy of the website or application that you are accessing.
How will you be informed of updates to this Cookie Policy?
In the event that we modify or update this Cookie Policy, we will clearly indicate the date of modification or update.
Changes to this Cookie Policy will become effective immediately upon republication of this page.
