The case
On Wednesday 28 July 2010, the woman’s body was discovered in the Meuse River by the Quai Godefroid Kurth in Liege.
Characteristics
She only had five teeth in her upper jaw. She wore a silver metallic pendant resembling an Asian man on a green cord. She had a dark brown wooden cane with a rubber tip.
According to isotopic results, the woman had lived the first years of her life outside the Benelux countries. She may have lived in France (Brittany/Massif Central/Vosges), Germany (Black Forest/southeast Germany), Switzerland, Austria, the Italian Alps or in northeastern Spain.
