LYON, France – The 89th INTERPOL General Assembly in Istanbul, Turkey (23 - 25 November) will bring together chiefs of police and senior officials from around the world to address global security issues.
The General Assembly opening ceremony at 10am on Tuesday 23 November will be open to media. Although the main conference proceedings are closed to the press, interviews with police officials and international delegates may be arranged upon request.
The closing ceremony in the afternoon of Thursday 25 November will also be open to the media. A press conference will also be held at a time and date to be confirmed.
Journalists wishing to attend the opening ceremony should apply for accreditation no later than Wednesday 10 November and should send their completed application form to ga89istanbul@egm.gov.tr
Please note that journalists requiring a visa will have to apply for this through the usual channels.
Journalists without accreditation will not be granted access. All accredited media representatives will be expected to present their press credentials and national identification documents at the media registration desk upon arrival, and observe all precautionary health and sanitary measures in place at the conference venue.
