Partnerships: working together to build a safer world
At INTERPOL, we believe that global security is the foundation for development. Our Partners Conference this July is an opportunity to spotlight our unique role in helping make that a reality, alongside stakeholders who share our vision.
Against an ever-changing global backdrop, transnational organized crime – from gang violence to cybercrime, human trafficking to money laundering and drug trafficking to environmental crime –continues to threaten the foundations of international security and development.
With our 196 member countries and unparalleled global access to police expertise and intelligence, INTERPOL’s transversal, poly-crime approach puts us at the forefront of efforts to counter those threats. On 2 July, our President Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi and Secretary General Valdecy Urquiza will welcome guests from government, law enforcement, international organizations, development agencies, academics and more to our global headquarters in Lyon, France, for an impact-focused event entitled INTERPOL Partner’s Conference 2025: Investing in a safer world.

Sharing strengths to combat crime
This second edition of our Partners Conference focuses on security as the foundation of economic and social development worldwide. Recognising the need for a coordinated, multi-sector approach to fighting organized crime and drawing on the specific expertise of the different stakeholders present, it will provide a forum to build and strengthen the partnerships that are essential to achieving an effective holistic response to this global challenge.
Leadership and expertise
Secretary General Urquiza will take part in a question-and-answer session to share his vision for the future of INTERPOL and our commitment to meeting the challenges of fighting back against organized crime. And after an opening round-table session entitled INTERPOL’s Unique Mission: Connecting and Enabling Police Around The World, a series of panels will highlight the real-world impact of the work we do - with and thanks to our partners - in our four crime areas: Cybercrime, Organized and Emerging Crime, Counter-Terrorism and Financial Crime and Anti-Corruption.
In a second, linked event the following day, members of our specialist Crimes against Children unit will brief participants on how they work with member countries to prevent and investigate online child sexual exploitation, with a focus on the fast-changing challenges of digital technology, including artificial intelligence.
Dialogue driving a clear ambition
INTERPOL Partners Conference 2025 will also be an essential opportunity for our teams and our leadership to hear from our partners on how we can take our collaboration to the next level, with the shared ambition of achieving even greater and more sustainable global security impact by stemming the rising tide of transnational organized crime – together.
