The 90th INTERPOL General Assembly in New Delhi, India (18 – 21 October) will bring together chiefs of police and senior officials from around the world to address global security issues.
The General Assembly opening ceremony on Tuesday, 18 October will be open to accredited media. Although the main conference proceedings are closed to the press, interviews with police officials and international delegates may be arranged upon request.
The closing ceremony in the afternoon of Friday 21 October will also be open to media. A press conference will also be held at a time and date to be confirmed. Only accredited journalists may attend the press conference and /or the opening and closing ceremonies. Entry to the venue will be based on the Security Pass issued by India’s Central Bureau of Investigation (National Central Bureau – India).
Journalists not based in India should mail a scanned copy of their completed application form along with all other required documents to adg@cbi.gov.in no later than Monday, 10 October. Journalists based in India should contact adg@cbi.gov.in and will also need to submit application forms no later than 10 October.
Please note that journalists requiring a visa will have to apply for this through the usual channels and must travel on a Journalist Visa.
Journalists without accreditation will not be granted access. All accredited media representatives will be expected to present their press credentials and national identification documents at the media registration desk upon arrival, and observe all precautionary health and sanitary measures in place at the conference venue.
