Media invitation for 47th INTERPOL European Regional Conference in Poland

LYON, France – Senior law enforcement officials from across Europe will gather in Katowice, Poland from 29 - 31 May 2019 for the 47th INTERPOL European Regional Conference.

Identifying ways to enhance cooperation in Europe in combating terrorism with a focus on returning foreign terrorist fighters, cybercrime and organized crime, particularly in relation to drug trafficking, are key issues on the agenda.

The opening ceremony and speeches of high-ranking officials from Poland and INTERPOL on the morning of Wednesday 29 May will be open to the media.

A press conference will be held immediately following the opening ceremony, in which senior Polish and INTERPOL officials will participate.

While the remainder of the conference will be closed to the media, there will be opportunities for interviews with specialist officers from INTERPOL.

Information on the conference will be made available on the INTERPOL website, in addition to photos and opening speeches.
