DAVOS, Switzerland – INTERPOL Secretary General Jürgen Stock has said that the threat of terrorist attacks requires a more efficient system for sharing information between countries.

Speaking to CNN International from Davos where he is attending the World Economic Forum, Secretary General Stock said information was the most important asset in policing. He said that information sharing on terrorism remains a challenge, especially on the movement of terrorists which he described as piecemeal and fragmented.

Mr Stock highlighted the need to extend access to INTERPOL global capabilities such as its databases to frontline police, including police patrols, as part of an ‘early warning system’.
