Media invitation for 88th INTERPOL General Assembly in Chile

LYON, France – Chiefs of police and security experts from around the world will gather at the 88th INTERPOL General Assembly in Santiago, Chile to address a range of global security issues.

National and regional efforts in combating terrorism, organized crime and cybercrime with operational support from INTERPOL will be addressed during the four-day (15 – 18 October) conference.

A press conference with senior Chilean and INTERPOL officials will take place on the afternoon of Monday 14 October.

The General Assembly opening ceremony at 11am on Tuesday 15 October will be open to media. Although the main conference proceedings are closed to the press, interviews with police officials and international delegates may be arranged upon request.

The closing ceremony at 12noon on Friday 18 October will also be open to the media.

Journalists wishing to attend the press conference and/or the opening ceremony should apply for accreditation no later than Thursday 10 October and send their completed application form to comunicacionescorporativas@investigaciones.cl

Please note that journalists requiring a visa will have to apply for this through the usual channels.

Journalists without accreditation will not be granted access. All accredited media representatives will be expected to present their press credentials and national identification documents at the media registration desk upon arrival.
