INTERPOL Secretary General briefs Colombian, Ecuadoran and Venezuelan police officials on status of FARC computer evidence probe

٣ أبريل، ٢٠٠٨

INTERPOL’s Heads of National Central Bureaus (NCBs) conference in Lyon, 2-4 April, provided an ideal opportunity for a first meeting between senior police officers from Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela since Colombia seized computers when it targeted a FARC camp on 1 March. At the meeting, INTERPOL Secretary General Ronald K. Noble (left) offered to travel to Ecuador and Venezuela to meet other senior officials, following his visit to Colombia in March. Secretary General Noble re-asserted the neutrality of INTERPOL experts currently examining the seized evidence, on which they are expected to report their findings in May.
