Media invitation for 24th INTERPOL African Regional Conference

LYON, France - Senior law enforcement officials from across Africa will gather in Kigali, Rwanda from 5 to 7 February 2019 for the 24th INTERPOL African Regional Conference.

Regional security concerns in Africa including terrorism, trafficking in human beings and environmental crime are key issues on the agenda.

The opening ceremony and speeches of high-ranking officials from Rwanda and INTERPOL on the morning of Tuesday 5 February will be open to the media.

A press conference will be held immediately following the opening ceremony, in which senior Rwandan and INTERPOL officials will participate.

While the remainder of the conference will be closed to the media, there will be opportunities for interviews with specialist officers from INTERPOL.

Information on the conference will be made available on the INTERPOL website www.interpol.int, in addition to photos and opening speeches.

Accredited journalists attending the opening ceremony must bring valid identity documents to the venue.
