Secretary General discusses global security issues with Japan Police Chief

TOKYO, Japan – International law enforcement cooperation was the focus of a meeting between INTERPOL Secretary General Jürgen Stock and Masayoshi Sakaguchi, Commissioner General of the Japan National Police Authority.

Identifying areas to further strengthen the strong cooperation between Japan and INTERPOL was a key issue during discussions between the Secretary General and the Commissioner General.

During his first mission to Japan, Secretary General Stock also met with Mr Tsuyuki, Director General of the Organized Crime Department and Kaoru Wada, Head of the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) in Tokyo.

NCB Tokyo acts as the single point of contact between police in Japan and INTERPOL’s other 189 member countries.
