Media invitation for 86th INTERPOL General Assembly in China

LYON, France – Chiefs of police and security experts from around the world will gather at INTERPOL’s 86th General Assembly in Beijing, China to address a range of global security issues.

Ensuring real-time data is in the hands of frontline officers and increased cooperation across various agencies in combating terrorism, organized crime and cybercrime are key topics during the four-day (26 – 29 September).

The official opening ceremony and speeches by senior Chinese and INTERPOL officials will take place at 9.30am on Tuesday 26 September and are open to the media. This will be immediately followed by a press conference.

Although the main conference proceedings are closed to the media, interviews with police officials and international delegates may also be arranged upon request.

The closing ceremony at 12.45pm on Friday 29 September will also be open to the media.
