THE HAGUE, The Netherlands - INTERPOL President Meng Hongwei met with the new Europol Director Catherine De Bolle and the Dutch National Police Commissioner Erik Akerboom, at their respective headquarters in The Hague.
In his 14 May meeting with Ms De Bolle - who is also Delegate for Europe on the INTERPOL Executive Committee - President Meng discussed how both organizations can strengthen their cooperation at the strategic level. The President also visited Europol’s Command Centre.
In the meeting with Erik Akerboom, the President thanked the Commissioner for the continued support by Dutch police for INTERPOL initiatives. The need for local, regional and international police organizations to adapt to tackle evolving crime challenges was also discussed during the meeting.
