Foreign Affairs Bureau


  • Collect, manage and analyse foreign affairs intelligence;
  • Cooperate with other national police organizations and government organizations throughout the world;
  • Develop plans on police activities related to foreign affairs;
  • Operate the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) in Seoul
  • Provide security services at ports and airports
  • Provide tourism security services;
  • Train, manage and evaluate investigators;


The INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) for Korea is part of the KNPA Foreign Affairs Bureau.
Headed by a Senior Superintendent General, INTERPOL Seoul is the designated point of contact for investigative cooperation between member countries, and for exchange of police intelligence relating to Korea.
INTERPOL SEOUL works closely with INTERPOL member countries across the world in locating fugitives and preventing and investigating transnational crime.
The NCB regularly hosts international conferences for the benefit of the INTERPOL community.
