The Ethiopian Federal Police (EFP) was created in 1995 to serve the public, respect and ensure the observation of human and democratic rights, and maintain the safety and welfare of the public.
Duties:
The INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) for Ethiopia is situated within the Federal Police Crime Investigations Department of the EFP Headquarters. INTERPOL Addis Ababa is staffed by six police officers who focus on the following priority crime areas:
INTERPOL’s largest operation combating illegal ivory trafficking targets criminal syndicates
Illegal ivory and rhino horn trade target of INTERPOL co-ordinated operation across southern Africa
