Documents to bring with you

Remember to bring the following documents with you:

Contracted/Detached Officials

  • Birth certificate
  • Family's birth certificates (1)
  • Passports
  • Copies of parent's birth certificates (or Death certificates)
  • Marriage certificate
  • Schools may require schooling certificates and/or reports
  • Car insurance certificate certifying 'no claims' situation
  • If an official has already lived and/or worked in France they should present any previous documents

All seconded officials

  • Passports
  • Schools may require schooling certificates and/or reports
  • Car insurance certificate certifying 'no claims' situation
  • If an official has already lived and/or worked in France they should present any previous documents

European seconded officials

  • Birth certificate
  • Family's birth certificates (1)
  • Copies of parent's birth certificates (or Death certificates)
  • Marriage certificate
  • Schools may require schooling certificates and/or reports
  • Car insurance certificate certifying 'no claims' situation
  • If an official has already lived and/or worked in France they should present any previous documents
  • Forms: E 106, E128 issued from your government for your social security rights
  • A letter from your administration certifying the length of your secondment

Non-European seconded officials

  • A certificate stating that you and your family have medical and social welfare cover.

(1) A translation into French or English would be necessary in most cases and appreciated in all cases.
