Endangered Iraqi objects Stolen Works of Art
Endangered Iraqi objects

The photographs in this file show the main categories of objects which may be stolen (and not objects which have been stolen) from the various Iraqi museums and which could be subject to illicit trafficking.

Inventory numbers beginning with IM signify that these objects have been taken from the museum in Bagdad.

Any object bearing the trace of a removed inventory number is necessarily suspect.

We would like to thank the Louvre museum and the Rhône archaeological team for the use of their photographs.
