In response to the looting of cultural property in Iraq, and in accordance with the recommendations adopted at an international conference on the subject held in Lyons on 5 and 6 May 2003, the General Secretariat has created a new public web site section. The aim is to make accessible to the public all information on cultural property stolen in Iraq provided to the General Secretariat as a result of close co-operation with the Interpol National Central Bureaus and UNESCO.

All these objects are featured in the General Secretariat's database and on the 'Interpol - Stolen Works of Art' DVD.

En réponse aux pillages des biens culturels en Irak, conformément aux recommandations adoptées lors de la conférence internationale organisée sur ce sujet à Lyon les 5 et 6 mai 2003, le Secrétariat général a créé une nouvelle section de son site Web. Son but est rendre accessibles au public toutes les informations sur les biens culturels volés en Irak, portées à la connaissance du Secrétariat général grâce à une coopération étroite avec les Bureaux Centraux Nationaux et l'UNESCO.

Tous ces objets figurent dans la base de données du Secrétariat général et sur le DVD "Interpol - Œuvres d'art volées".
