| Master painting stolen in Norway |

On 8 March 2009, unknown offenders broke into the church of Larvik, Norway and stole a master painting with an estimated value of between EUR 1.7 and 2.2 million.

Anyone with information about the theft or the whereabouts of the painting is asked to contact INTERPOL National Central Bureau Oslo (ref.: 852/09) and the INTERPOL General Secretariat (ref.: 2009/7751).
Norwegian police recovered stolen Cranach painting
On 11 March 2009, just three days following the theft, Norwegian police recovered the stolen painting in good condition and arrested a suspect. The investigations are ongoing.
