Interpol - General Assembly 73rd Session - Cancún, 5 - 8 October 2004

The ICPO-Interpol General Assembly, meeting in Cancún from 5 to 8 October 2004 at its 73rd session:

HAVING EXAMINED Report AG-2004-RAP-10 submitted by the General Secretariat, entitled 'Report on the 2003 Financial Year', and Report AG-2004-RAP-12 submitted by the External Auditors and relating to Interpol's administrative and financial management,

APPROVES the Financial Report for 2003 and, in conformity with Article 27 of the Financial Regulations, grants the Secretary General a discharge in respect of the performance of his duties;

TAKES NOTE of Report AG-2004-RAP-12 on Interpol's administrative and financial management in 2003, submitted by the External Auditors;

NOTES slippage of EUR 660,000 from the financial year 2003 to 2004;

NOTES the transfer of EUR 516,000 to the General Reserve Fund;

NOTES that the Organization's balance sheet at 31 December 2003 shows a net accounting result of a surplus of EUR 686,000;

NOTES the allocation of the surplus of EUR 686,000 to the General Reserve Fund;

APPROVES the transfer of EUR 86,000 from the General Reserve Fund to the Indemnities Fund.
