 Events
 Every 2 years INTERPOL Fingerprint Unit organises an International Symposium on fingerprints. Invitations are sent to all member countries inviting them to send delegations and also requesting that they present information that will be of interest. The 3 day event is usually attended by over 100 delegates from more than 50 member countries; leading AFIS vendors are also invited and present the latest developments in AFIS. The next Symposium is planned for Spring 2009, if you are interested in participating and presenting please forward a brief resume of the presentation to the following address.
International Symposium on Fingerprints
In June 2008 INTERPOL held its 5th International fingerprint symposium at the headquarters of the organisation in Lyon. The theme of the Symposium was 'from the crime scene to International searching'. The symposium also looked at training of fingerprint staff and work of INTERPOL working groups.
