Interpol held a regional bioterrorism workshop in Kiev, Ukraine, from 6-8 November 2006. The workshop was attended by police representatives from 23 countries and addressed a range of issues including biohazards, laboratory security, bioterrorism identification, and the importance of legislation to combat the threat. The event followed similar workshops held in Africa, Asia and the Americas and the 1st Interpol Global Conference on Preventing Boterrorism.
