The song "Proud to be" has been produced to raise awareness of the health risks of counterfeit medicines. This phenomenon touches all corners of the globe, especially the continent of Africa
The artists
Yvonne Chaka Chaka
Known as the Princess of Africa, Yvonne Chaka Chaka has been at the forefront of South African music for more than 15 years.
Born in Soweto, during apartheid, she is passionate about changing her world, working ceaselessly to build a better future for Africa.
She is tireless campaigner against malaria, and an ambassador for both development and education.
Youssou N’Dour
Afropop singer and percussionist Youssou N’Dour is an international star in popular music. Keen to use his fame to benefit others, he campaigns against poverty in Africa, has served as a goodwill ambassador to international organizations. He encourages development and employment opportunities for people in his native Senegal
