Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force

The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is responsible for law enforcement services across its 389-square-kilometre territory of islands.  It is supported by the country’s Coast Guard, Fire Services, Rapid Response Unit and Special Services Unit. 

With a strength of almost 1,000 police officers, the Force reports to the Minister of National Security, and is the only security force in the country.

The Kingstown Force headquarters is made up of:

  • Criminal Investigations Department;
  • Special Branch;
  • Major Crime;
  • Court and Prosecution;
  • Court Remand;
  • Beat and Patrol;
  • Traffic Branch.

INTERPOL Kingstown

The INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) for St Vincent and the Grenadines is located at the Force Headquarters and is part of the Criminal Records Office.

INTERPOL Kingstown is the main platform for all international investigations relating to crime committed in St Vincent and the Grenadines or by citizens of St Vincent and the Grenadines abroad. It is the platform for all domestic investigations requiring international outreach, working closely with all INTERPOL member countries and their domestic law enforcement partners to facilitate criminal investigation, intelligence exchange and joint operations targeting transnational crime.

INTERPOL Kingstown helps locate fugitives who have fled St Vincent and the Grenadines and assists INTERPOL member countries locate fugitives who are believed to be in St Vincent and the Grenadines, with a view to their arrest by the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force and the coordination of their extradition.
